After postponed by the pandemic, STEP-5 in Sydney is resumed.
STEP-5 will be held as a half-workshop, in association with The 9th Asian Particle Technology Symposium (APT2024) which is held in Sydney, Australia, 1st-4th December 2024. Attendees will give their technical presentations in the conference, followed by the STEP activity which includes a detailed roundtable discussion, laboratory tour, as well as an informal social gathering to conclude the STEP workshop.
STEP is a discussion-based international workshop on tribo-electricity and particle charging. The workshop scope covers a range of fundamental and applied topics related, but not limited to, the mechanism of generation of electrostatic charge, control of charged particles, measurement of electrostatic charge, and other topics related to tribo-electrisity. The workshop is open to all researchers and engineers in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and others. The STEP workshop provides an international forum to enable researchers and engineers in the field of tribo-electricity to have interactive dialog and to establish an international network.

- Basically, the participants travel to New Castle together from Sydney in the morning on the 5th, but feel free to make and arrange your own travel plan, in that case the assemble point will be informed. - Day return trip to New Castle from Sydney is assumed, but feel free to say over in New Castle after the closure of the STEP activity. |
